We hope your run and everyone else’s will be successful and enjoyable, to help ensure this PLEASE TAKE TIME TO READ THIS INFORMATION.

If you are unfortunate enough to be unable to run DO NOT LET ANYONE ELSE RUN WITH YOUR NUMBER AND CHIP WITHOUT GETTING THE DETAILS CHANGED, BEFORE THE RACE DAY IF POSSIBLE OR ON THE DAY AT THE ENTRY DESK.

Parking - Halstead Road Playing Fields - Parking will be available on the playing field grass if the field is not waterlogged. There is only one entrance so please do not drive onto the playing field if only dropping off. If using nearby roads please park with respect to the residents. Remember Halstead road will be closed so allow time to follow the diversions.

Facilities - Two small changing rooms are available with limited showers and toilets. There are two portaloos at the side of the changing room building and three more toilets around the back.

Light refreshments will be available, hot and cold drinks and some snacks.

Number and chip – Your number must be worn on the front and clearly visible. Your chip is attached to your number. After the race helpers will tear off the portion of your number with the chip attached. Please be patient, if you prefer you can tear the portion off yourself and put it into one of the collection containers. PLEASE DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHIP HOME! Any lost chips will be charged.

Start line safety - The start is on Halstead road and is about 400 metres from the playing fields. Halstead road will be closed to traffic from the Walton Way roundabout to Swithland road for your safety. There are no toilets at the start line. Please take care as you walk from the playing fields to the roundabout as this road is still open to traffic.

The Route - The course uses the popular Swithland 6 route. Please be aware that the potholes and raised stones on the unmade road after the reservoir, between 1.5 and 2.5 miles, are very bad and care is needed.

The finish is on Halstead Road, as the junction of Swithland road and Halstead is closed to traffic. Please stay on the left hand side of Swithland road from the Ridings junction until you get to the road closed barrier at the top of the hill.

All finishers will receive a Technical T shirt so please check you have put your size on the entry form. The T shirts will be given out at the playing field after the race, not at the finish in order to keep the finish area clear.
