Danny Warren @ Kingsbury Water Parkrun
Danny Warren continued his fabulous form at the weekend as he stormed to a fantastic first place finish at the Kingsbury Water Park Parkrun. The 29-year old from Baddesley led from start to finish setting a new club record as he crossed the line in a magnificent 17:01, having broken the elusive 17 minute barrier during the week on the same course in training. Glyn Broadhurst ran the second fastest time of his life in 6th place (18:54) just ahead of the fatigued Dave Jackson in 7th. Rob Boland secured a huge personal best of 20:18 while David Craig showed signs of returning to his best form in 24th place. Ashley Taylor recorded a long-overdue personal best beating fellow DJ Carl Holyoak in the process. Esther McCullagh was first lady back in an impressive 21:55 while it was a major plus to see John Hanson break the back of 23 minutes as his comeback really begins to take shape. Will Cartwright and Eamon Thawley both ran good times while Chris Upton continued his return from injury. Alan Argyle, Michael Morton and the stylish Serena Baker all performed well as did Nikki Aldridge, Leanne Baker, Rachael Howard and Debbie Zimmerman. Kally Uppal and Ashley Carter also ran.

At Conkers, Chris Baxter ran a fine 17:46 to finish second while Jason Husselbee-Orwin and Karen Missen turned out as well. Jon Davies ran 23:15 over at Worcester while Jared Karim ran a swift 20:43 at the quick Cannon Hill Park circuit. Paul Grubb finished 31st at nearby Rosliston in a time of 25:12, ahead of Bev Spencer, Judy Parkes and the dependable Jo James.

The Bank Holiday curtailed the usual plethora of BADGER action with a relatively small smattering of racing taking place. Aaron Chetwynd turned out at the Runner’s World Trailblazer Half Marathon and finished in a superb ninth place in a time of 90:39. Adi Payne continues to improve as he too bagged himself a high finish in 94:10. Alan Argyle rolled back the years at the hilly Burton Half Marathon, the veteran runner clocking an impressive 2:03 in the process. Rosie Harding travelled to Edinburgh where she ran the EMF 10K in the city in a new PB time of 68:45. Abbie Liddle ran the Brussels 20K in Belgium in 1:45:26. Marathon man Adie Kirkham notched his 63rd marathon by completing the Liverpool Rock n Roll event in 3 hours 49 minutes.
