SEVEN BADGERS OUT IN FORCE ACROSS THE UK

A relatively quiet week in the news for Badgers with just seven people managing to find a race with some serious travelling required in order to do so.

Emma Masser and Laura Bingham travelled to Devon for the Man Vs Coast event, 25 miles of stunning clifftop scenery and rugged landscapes all wrapped up within a relatively piffling time of 6:20.

Liz Peel made her way down to Gravesend in Kent for her 99th marathon, the SVN Smileathon race, recording 4:47:37, her fastest time since October 2018.

Closer to home were Holly McClay and Andy Smith who still had to truck over to Worcester to take part in the Hallow 12 Parish Challenge which took in 15.5 miles of countryside, a feat accomplished in a fraction over four hours.

Kingsbury based Mick Bailey tackled the Leamington Spa half marathon and gave a great account of himself with a cracking time of 1:49:12.

Last but by certainly no means least, Cameron Barnes, still overjoyed from Leicester City’s superb FA Cup triumph earlier in the summer, had a dart at the Windmill Fell race in Leicestershire. The tough course was just shy of 5 miles in length and Barnes fared well enough to bag a top twenty place, finishing 19th in 42:42.
