HILL CONTINUES TO CLIMB TO THE TOP OF THE RANKINGS

Having smashed the Maverick Terrex X Ultra race last weekend Dave Hill would've been forgiven if he'd wanted to put his feet up this weekend but nothing was further from his mind. The in-form Badger carried on where he left off with three more stunning performances. 1st up was the Wrexham 10k, which takes place over a super quick course on the Wrexham/Cheshire border and therefore has a field filled with top class athletes, which makes Hill's top twenty finish and club record breaking time of 32:45 even more remarkable. 2nd event was the Staffs Knot 5 mile race in Cannock Chase where once again he was in the thick of the action finishing in a rapid 27:18 and fourth place. Finally to round off a fruitful week he headed over to Market Bosworth parkrun where once again he was ahead of the field,1st place in 17:33, definitely a man on fire.

Not to be outdone Liberty Underhill, another athlete on fine form, headed to Wrexham to claim a 10k pb in 43:30 as well as the Staffs Knot 5 miler 36:13.

Kingsbury parkrun was where Chris Young produced a best time of 23:05, surely sub 23:00 is just around the corner. Elsewhere at parkrun the small but perfectly formed Snowden fields produced a best time in 12 months for Andy Smith, with him and wife Holly also both achieving 1st in age categories and best finishing positions at a parkrun. Further afield a group of female club stalwarts headed to York for a girlie weekend as well as somehow completing York parkrun.

Away from parkrun husband and wife Yvonne and David Grant headed over to the beautiful Combe Abbey to complete the Big Bear 10k before heading up to Mold Leisure Centre to meet, run with and show their support for Sean Conway who was completing his 102nd consecutive Iron man event.
