The Baddesley Badgers celebrated their 8th birthday this week with a weekend of celebrations. With over 200 club members, many gathered and camped over at local venue Cliff Lakes. The event which was organised by popular club social and welfare officer Clare Whetton, was not only a huge success but also just rewards for another successful season for the multi title winning club.

It wasn’t a case of pulling up trees for Liz Peel but more like planting them. The experienced long distance campaigner completed her 61st marathon. (Forest marathon) An event that pledged to plant 3 new trees for every entrant.

Alan Argyle was another in marathon action. A proud personal and club moment, as he marked his 25th milestone at the Enigma “need for speed” race.

Closer to home 13 club runners took advantage of the local Tamworth 5. It was the aero dynamic Chris Baxter (28:37) who crossed the line first for the club finishing 7th overall.
