Annual Presentation Evening 2023

Each year at the end of the season we come together to celebrate the achievements.

Later this month on Saturday 11th November, we would like as many of you as possible to come together to celebrate the last year of running.

The presentation evening will take place at Baddesley Ensor Social Club, arrive from 7pm starting at 7:30pm. The evening will consist of crowning the awards winners and celebrating our achievements as a club from the 2022/23 season.

Before we can crown any winners we need your votes. We will be running two rounds of voting, firstly the long list (now closed) and secondly the short list (top 5 from each category in the long list)

Please note that voting for the short list will close Tuesday 31st October at 23:59

To help you understand some of the top awards there is a brief description to help guide you.

RUNNERS BADGER - An individual who in the members' opinion is representative of the club - this may be through; their running, their results throughout the season, their achievements over the season or a combination of all these.

BEGINNER BADGER - A Beginner BADGER who in the members' opinion is representative of the club - this may be through; their running, their dedication to completing the beginners programme, achieving personal goals or a combination of all these.

NEWCOMER BADGER - A new member to the club in the season of 2022/23, an individual who in the members' opinion has made an impact on the club and its members for the good – this may be through; their running, their results throughout the season, their achievements over the season, their support of the club, their support of others, or maybe even their humour!

RUNLEADER OF THE YEAR - Which of our fine RunLeaders has helped you this year - this may be by setting challenging and varied training routes, encouraging you to give everything at training, giving you advice or even doing that bit extra to help you.

 SPIRIT of the BADGER - An individual who sums up the club ethos “Friendly and supportive running for all Abilities” This could be in the form of; their support to the club, their support of other members, their support of runners outside of the club or a combination of all these.

BADGER ROLE MODEL - An individual you look up to in the club as an example to be imitated by others. This could be through; their running, their dedication to the club, their support of the club, their support of others, being an inspiration to other members or a combination of all these.

There are two final awards that are not open to voting.

MILE MASTER & MISTRESS – This is for the members that have accumulated the most miles in the 2022/23 season (01st Sept 2022 – 31st August 2023)

If you believe you are in with a chance of this please get in touch with Danny Warren via email (badgersbaddesley@gmail.com) with your approximate total mileage. If we have a few members close to each other's totals, proof in the form of GPS data and or race results will need to be provided.
