Social Run Thursday

Thursday 18:30 - 19:30

*Guest members may only attend four weeks in any calendar year, after this they must either join the club as a member or cease attending until the start of the new calendar year.

This social session is for any runner who can run at least 5k or 3 miles and will be led by a RunLeader.

There will be two planned routes each week, a route of approximately 3-6 miles and another of 6-10 miles. This is a mixed ability group with a pace ranging 6:00 to 12:00 minutes per mile. Runners will not be supervised although we may use 'loop back' to keep runners together in one group.

It is your responsibility to familiarise yourself with the route prior to the run.

Please ensure you are wearing an item of hi-viz clothing and you have a mobile with you in case of emergency.

The RunLeader will take a register of those attending and it is your responsibility to contact them when you have finished.

  • Please arrive by 18:20 in order to pay subs, sessions are scheduled to start at 18:30.
  • It is your responsibility to familiarise yourself with the route prior to the run.
  • You MUST stay to the set routes, and let the run leader know you are back safely.

  • Please make sure you are well hydrated, in warm weather.
  • Please keep to the paths where available, be mindful and give way to pedestrians.
  • If running on roads please be aware of traffic and run in single file towards oncoming vehicles.
  • Taking part in the sessions is done at your own risk.
  • Please park legally and sensibly at all times.
